Andy Frankenberger is a professional poker player from New York City.

Frankenberger won the WPT Season 9 Legends of Poker event in 2010, then followed that up with another WPT final table at the Festa al Lago event later that year. These results, combined with a 16th place finish at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic, allowed him to win the World Poker Tour Player of the Year award for Season 9. At the 2011 World Series of Poker, Frankenberger won his first WSOP bracelet in a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event, outlasting a field of 2,500.

As of December 2011, Frankenberger's live tournament winnings exceed $2 million.[1] His WSOP earnings account for $620,000 of those winnings[2]

Frankenberger, who earned a perfect 800 score in high school on his math SAT[3], turned down Harvard University[3], and graduated from Duke University with degrees in economics and Russian. He then worked on Wall Street for fifteen years, joining the team that founded the currency trading desk for JP Morgan in Moscow, and returning to the United States to work as a derivatives trader for JP Morgan and BNP Paribas.[3][4]

Frankenberger supports a number of charities, including UJA-Federation of New York, SoHo Synagogue, NYC Animal Care and Control and American Friends of the Israeli Philharmonic.[5]
